Promoters put in a lot hard work to guarantee a packed night at last nights grand opening of Sky Nightclub in Ft Lauderdale and they succeeded. The entire main room was packed and made for a good party.

However this party/venue still needs a lot of spit and shine. It felt obvious that it was a rush to get the doors open for last nights opening and that many things were still not ready. But Sky Nightclub had good music, people and no trouble getting a drink. The basics are there, but I'll need to see the venue cleaned up a bit and the party run a bit more smoothly before Sky Nightclub will become a regular destination.

Great News! B.E.D., one of the hottest clubs on South Beach is under new management.

I know some of you may be thinking this is a bad thing, but trust me, it’s not.

The new owners are from Chicago and they know how to have a party! They are bringing more entertainment and more of that South Beach experience we all love! They are open 7 days a week, that’s right they host a different event every night of the week! They are making sure you have somewhere to party no matter what day of the week, or what time. They offer more than just a nightlife experience; they offer a daytime experience as well. The new B.E.D. is now offering a Sunday Brunch with $30 bottomless Mimosas and $35 bottomless Bloody Mary’s. They also have a new chef, Vitor Casassola, who designed and prepares a French-Global Fusion menu. The food is to die for!

So whether you’re just visiting, or you’re a regular on South Beach, don’t just go to any club, go to the one that offers the whole experience, something you can’t find anywhere else, the B.E.D experience, beverage, entertainment, and dining. Make sure you get down to B.E.D this weekend for all of their Grand Opening Weekend Events. B.E.D is the place to be this Friday, Saturday, and every other night. Just coming to visit this wonderful city of ours and have no idea where to go for the best parties and nightlife? With over a hundred night clubs within blocks of each other it's easily understandable how it could quickly become confusing.

Here is our list of the top 5 clubs to visit in Miami for a tourist (as of Dec 2009, these things tend to change a lot).

5) Cameo Nightclub

Cameo has changed names from Cameo Nightclub to Crobar and back to Cameo, but it has always stuck around and always innovated and never allowed it self to get to comfortable and the entire South Miami Beach party and club seen is all the better for it. It's one of the largest locations on south miami beach for nightlife, however it isn't so big that they let just anyone in. There is still a bit of a "pick me" at the velvet rope feeling, which can be a good thing.

4) Space Nightclub

Space, downtown miami's mega club is just that. Space has been around forever, and just about every year wins the awards for best club in the country. You have multiple stories of the best sound and light gear money can buy, top DJs performing nightly and I almost forgot to mention it's open from early in the night until 2pm so bring your shades.

3) B.E.D. Restaurant and Nightclub

B.E.D. is smaller then any of the other venues on this list, but that's exactly why it's here. B.E.D. definitely still caters to tourist, but definitely has more of the upscale, big crowds out front, hard to get into ultra club that your used to seeing on TV and in the movies. With less square footage they are much mroe selective about who gets in, so if you want to visit and party with the most beautiful and famous people around, then B.E.D. is the spot.

2) Nikki Beach

Nikki Beach, breakfast buffet by morning, lounge by day and nightclub by evening is another staple, and is as much a favorite for tourist as it is for locals. I won't go to much in to details about Nikki Beach other then to let you know of all the places tourist go this is always the place the leave saying was their favorite. You honestly can't go wrong and if you go there's a good chance you'll find me there as well.

1) Mansion Nightclub

Mansion nightclub on South Miami Beach is the Miami tourist club. Love it or hate it, you can't deny it. It's huge, it's int he middle of the strip, it has lines around the block, it's got celebrities and everything else you come looking for in a Miami club. Get there early, wear something nice, avoid the lines and if it feels like it's dead when you get there, enjoy it because in an hour you won't be able to move it will be so packed.
