Mansion nightclub, previously known as Level, is the mega club under the Opium Group’s rule and definitely a force to be reckoned with. Mansion is by far the largest nightclub on the beach with two levels, five rooms, four dance floors and five fairly large bars, it is a known South Beach clubbing institution. Every night at Mansion is a blast (closed Mon & Tues), but Thursday is our personal favorite.

If dancing is what you crave, then Mansion Nightclub is definitely your club. This hotspot’s state-of-the-art lighting/sound system and steady stream of A-list performers/DJs guarantees that wallflowers are a minimum. Mansion is definitely a place to go to with a group of friends…the more the merrier. But keep in mind that entry can be a long and tedious process if you just walk up to one of the lines, which are present everyday and have been known to wrap around the block on occasion. Instead of spending your night waiting to get in, we suggest that if you don’t plan to get a table (which always works), you should put your name on our list and show up fairly early…and unless you are a known celeb, don’t expect to get in if you are not dressed to impress. And if there is one thing that Mansion nightclub is never lacking, it is steady star power. Everyone from Jay-Z to Former President Bill Clinton (and you thought he was cool before) has walked through MAnsion's doors and graced VIP.

If bottles and status are what you seek, Mansion nightclub has plenty of opportunity for both. This club boasts not one or two VIP sections, but five! If you crave additional attention, certain bottles are presented sporting large sparklers and are sure-fire way to announce to everyone in the room that you are doing it big. For those with extreme VIP status, there is even a special big baller section located directly in front of the stage in the main room of Mansion and is usually manned by a diligent bouncer.

Remade as “un Grande Maison,” the entire nightclub is outfitted with exposed brick walls, sweeping staircases, extravagant chandeliers and oil paintings to give you the sense that you are in, well, a mansion. One of the largest clubs in South Florida at 40,000 sqft, Mansion nightclub offers something for everyone. Depending on the night, hip-hop and house music switch back and forth between the main room and the smaller Ivy room. If you need a break from the constant crush, you can watch the excitement from the balcony/second floor. It is not unusual to see lingerie-clad dancers on the eight dance platforms placed through out the club…and while these platforms do have poles, don’t expect any clothing to be shed. In the name of fun, sexy females are encouraged to dance on the bars and flaunt their skills on the permanent runway that runs down the middle of the VIP area in the Main room (please don’t fall off). There are two sets of bathrooms: one on the second floor and a main bathroom on the first floor near the front entrance. The main bathroom is the perfect place to find lost friends or to exchange numbers with its well-lit (gotta make sure it’s not “club face”) sitting room located between the two lavatories.

Why It’s Hot: Mansion is fun. With a sound system so powerful you can feel the bass in your chest and never-ending excitement, it’s very hard not to come to Mansion nightclub and not have a good time.

Why It’s Not: The lines to get into Mansion can be ridiculous. If you don’t follow our tips, you may spend the entire night outside staring at the bouncer.

  Mansion was awful!!!! My friends and I tried to get into the club for my bachelorette party in June and waited for over 2 hours in the line! The bouncers were jerks and people who hit them off with some cash, were allowed into the nightclub! Will NEVER go there again! It was a complete waste of our time!

  There was a group of about 10 of us drinking at our hotel and a man came in offering for us to buy tickets to the Mansion for $10 each and we dont have to wait in line, go there at 10 and get free drinks til 12. Well... We all paid this guy who seemed really nice, after reading all the bad reviews about this club I thought it was too good to be true and sure enough it was. We got all dolled up and went to the club at 10 where the guy said he would be on the door. Instead there where 2 other cocksuckers that thought they where god and couldn't even look us in the eye when they said 'dont open til 11, no free dinks, you have to line up and pay another $20 to get in'. We were polite and told him that we brought these tickets and the fucken coward just looked down and kept saying 'no come back at 11'. What a fucken weak loser. Ur the one that is a door man. We just went elsewhere and had a good night. So dont waste your time getting wrist bands or buying tickets cause it is nothing but a SCAM and the fuckwits at the door think they are the police but all they are is scum and they wont even look you in the eye, bloody pusseys!!!

  My first time going to Mansion was the worse experience ever. I have been partying for the past fifteen (15) years and never experienced what I did that night. My friend and I arrived around 11:20 PM. There were two lines, one for those with wrist bands and one for those without. We didn't have a wrist band but that line much shorter. We stood in line for 45 minutes with only about fifteen to twenty people in front of us. The guy who was giving the approval to let people in (Bruno is what I'll call him) kept moving the ropes around, trying to avoid the group of females in front of us (my friend and I) from getting in. I guess he wasn't impressed with their attire. He then made a comment to one of the two African American young men, standing in front of group of females, that he couldn't get in because his polo shirt was to baggy. The young man said, he would tuck it in but Bruno said that was unacceptable and he would have to change in order for him to get in the club. We then waited another 15 minutes and watched how Bruno let all these other people walk up in front of the line and go right in. One of the females in the group that was in front of me made a comment stating "because we aren't thin and blonde we can't get in". The group of ladies that were standing in front of me were all of some other nationality either Hispanic or Dominican but of fair light skin complection. My friend and I were of Afican American decent. About fifteen minutes after she made the comment, Bruno walked over to me and asked was I the one who made that racial comment. I didn't know what he was talking about at first and asked him what was he referring to. He then said I wasn't allowed in the club. Problem is this, he had assumed I made the comment because of the pigment of my skin and I didn't which really made me mad and the fact that they did not have a system for getting in the club. It was a horrible experience and I'll be sure to pass it on to all of my friends, clients and family members who frequent Miami's South Beach. I'll be sure to have them to pass the word. Bruno was very racist and it was very evident. They also need to come up with a better system for admitance. Either they have a VIP line and a general admission or just one line. That was my first and last time ever going to the MANSION!!!

  this club is down right racist. They pride themselves on keeping it exclusive by denying entrance to certain races other than whites.

  lilasngal: It was likely your attire that had you held at bay...try dressing to impress; don't play the race card, it truly is so played out...the guests are as colorful and diverse as the extensive lightshow within... shame on you for attempting to get in likely dressed in a Striped Polo and Flip Flops

  I loved 'Bruno'(the tall Eastern European guy), he was a minx and is far from a racist. Lilasngal, I agree with Chris and BCorbin. With clubs like Mansion, it is how one looks and carries themselves. I was in South Beach this August and the first Club (may I add, one of the best I went to whilst in Miami) we went to was Mansion. There were three girls in our party(all 2 Black British and 1 Afro American) plus 2 White British guys we met in the queue, spoke to 'Bruno' and we were allowed in, just the girls, the guys were never allowed in. Like to add that we only queued for about 10mins
  I am from the UK and there are clubs like Mansion in London, the only way one can be guaranteed entrance is by booking a table or how one looks. They are certainly looking for a certain look, but won't have thought race had anything to do with it.
  Point is, I am not blonde, with blue eyes and certainly not a size zero and got in.
