so we bought will call tickets for thomas gold to go to club set ... worse experince ever the bouncers were rude , pushed my friends back and they made us wait for 2 hours and then said that it was full and that they would only allow girls mind you i was with 10 girls and 3 boys .. they only let old men and tall blonde european woman that had massive plastic surgery... this is not the place to go ... dont even waste your money on this piece of shit club .... which is really small by the way and bouncers think they are hot stuff which this gay bouncer named stephen was letting his old friends in and making everyone else wait

Hi guys I'm in holiday with my friends to spend my time in Miami. Yesterday night we tried to go inside Set club but a person called Stefan when I explained him ... We are here just 3 days in vacation please could we go inside..bla bla bla.... He told me No! In my opinion it's a shame because when you look at a person you know If he is a Good guy and he is there just to enjoy Miami. We r italian and in NY, San francisco and Europe we never had this kind of problem. Regards.

I heard so much about set club how good it is that was bull shit it sucks the choose who the want to go in the club I am glad that I don't have those problem in NYC. I would not recommend it to any body that goes to Miami. Not worth giving them money.

BALD DOUCHE BAG DOORMAN
That bald headed douche has been there for years. He never lets anyone in the club. We tried to get in SET this past Sat night (November 28, 2009). Baldy was motioning to his "protege" how to handle each client trying to get passed the rope. Baldy allowed groups of people he KNEW in for free. Then when the "protege" approached us he said they are only offering bottle service. So I inquired.....he said minimum of TWO bottles. I was with my husband (party of 2). I said, "how much?? ...$1000??. He told me he did not know how much the bottles would be. He KNEW we weren't going to buy TWO stinkin bottles.....2 people--- 2 bottles....we would have gotten thrown outta there for being too drunk or thrown up all over the place if we would have agreed. Obviously they did not want us in there. However, we watched several groups of girls exit the club and they were dog ugly---googly eyed.
I guess that is the preferred clientele bald is interested in attracting to SET . If that is the case, "CAB!"

Am a south florida Dj and i wonder why cant anybody get in the club without getting any shit from this doorman that thinks that he is the owner, i think is very funny and sat on his part, by the way his name is Cedric or something i personally think that he was not loved when he was child next time u see him u should give that sad person a hug. Cedric if u read this i think that u should get over your little power trip cause it makes u look very stupid and funny at the same time. sad people like u dont go past that clubs door u r not that cool budy.

So a bunch of my girlfriends and I decided to hit up set for a bachelorette party Saturday night and get a table. Upon entering the club, we were greeted by a hostess who proceeded to ask us where we would like our table to be located, in adition to explaining to us how much everything was going to cost. Initially, we decided on one bottle of greygoose, but once we were told we could get a magical rate of $275 for sky and $275 for house champaigne, we went for it....needless to say, super psyched we were getting a fabulous deal! We were then greeted by our waitress who neglected to bring us a menu after one of the girls had requested it and the order was then placed for the bttle of sky and house champaigne. As we're Waiting with anticipation to get this party started, the waitress brings out a bottle of vuve cliquout! All of us ooohhh and aahh with glee thinking wow-great house champaign-we love vuve...and the night continued. Then, the evening was just about to come to an end, we recieve our bill: $1000! Um....WTF??? We refused to pay and asked to speak with the manager who may I say was less then accomodating. Not only did he refuse to work with us, but he called one of us a C*NT and one of the waitresses pushed the girl. Ive been coming to miami for yrs and going out in general for as long as i can remember and This had to have been the worst customer service...or the lack there of..I have ever experienced. The dispute lasted for an hour and led to callng the police. At the end, the manager not only took the incopetant hostess's side and refused to work with us, but stood and made sure that the signature matched the card....meanwhile attempting to blacklist my gf who's card was used from the club, as well as others. Lol! All in all, never will I ever set my foot at this club again. And FYI-the managers name is dan-in case anyone should ever encounter a problem-ask for someone else!!!

What's going on with the doorman? He hides just inside the club like he's afraid he might get a beat down if he stands too close to the rope. Also what's with the whispering and the hand signals? The guy is obviously dealing with some psychological disorder?? I stood there for about two minutes and determined if the door staff are any indication of the patrons inside, then I'm better off anywhere else.

This has to be the worst club in south beach and possibly ever.. first of all, the doorman Cedric is an A-hole. He ingores any guy that comes up to the club. He only lets girls into this place. (how is any club goin to make money without letting some guys in). There are other clubs in south beach that don't even compare to this place. I actually don't even know how it is still open. If your going to south beach, go to Mansion , LIV , Nikki Beach , Cameo , or B.E.D .. SET suks.. Trust me, I live in NYC and know alot about clubs.

This place was a huge dissapointment. My girlfriend and I were in South Beach for the weekend only. We were walking by Set and started to speak to the bouncer at the door. He said that we wouldn't have a problem getting in just come back and wait. Well we waited for an hour before I go annoyed enough to leave. Not sure what the doormans criteria was to let people in, but it must have been geek night. We are used to NY clubs and this place is by far the worst. Doorman is a complete jerk. we were dressed looking really good and the people that go in were in jeans and t shirts. Whatever, never again will I waste my time at that dump. Some of the people that went in came out after 10 min and said it sucked anyway. I couldn't even talk to anyone..Very rude...Thanks to the bouncer at the door that recommended that place, we wasted an hour of our weekend for nothing.

SET sucks!!! Starting with the door man Cedric, soooo rude! OK, the door men in sobe are known for being uptight and rude but Cedric is just something that i cant put in words. The bouncers are as mean as Cedric. The club is small, the music is okay, the staff is incompetant etc etc etc....
Myntlounge and Mansion are 10 times better than SET . Not too easy to get it just like all the clubs in Sobe but when you go there you can be sure u wont be wasting ur time. First ur not gonna be treated like trash at the door and in the club ur realy gonna have an awesome experience! -

I like the age group of this club. Not a ton of just-turned-21-year olds acting stupid! BUT...I have to say that I was just there last night and very disappointed. We paid $750 for a vip table (yes, we can afford it and we had friends in from the UK) but we have paid only $500 at Mansion . The difference: The door men were not helpful when we asked for Rafael. I had to call him myself. At Mansion , we didn't have to wait for Bar ack, we just asked for him and they let us in. Also, even though I don't care for the age group at Mansion , the service was IMPECCABLE. We NEVER had to wait for our drinks to be refilled. We were right infront of the dj booth, as we were at Set, but the wait staff at Set were rude and incompetant, money hungry liars!
Wait staff at Masion were on top of it all the way.

My girlfriends and I came to miami from montreal for 3 nights. We had a friend who spoke to Assan who I believe is the manager. When we got there the door men were so rude! We told them that Assan was aware of us coming but all he said was "Then call him yourself" The bouncers were so uptight and rude. We ended up at Mansion where they were so nice to us we didn't even have to wait! They let us in from the back! Pathetic club set I will make sure the word gets around in Montreal never to step foot in this club! If we were not up to par for the bouncers you should have seen how ugly they were!

This place is an "elitist wannabe" paradise. Lady GaGa performed at this dump on Halloween and would have been HORRIFIED at the brain-dead gorillas at the front door who only chose huge titted bimbos and their lunkhead jock boyfriends to be admitted. GaGa's fans were not let in. She will be notified of this. Those let in, by the way, were NOT "up to par" on the "dress-code" for the night...so that is not an excuse. It's all about the jugs. And well...that is pathetic. This ain't L.A. or New York baby...
