Editor's Note: Pearl was retired to the NightCure Mausoleum after it hosted its final party on Sunday, December 2, 2007 to a packed house of adoring fans. Nikki Beach Miami closed down its luxurious lounge after 10 years of posh parties in order to bring it back as a completely different concept (minus the world famous five star restaurant), Club Nikki, on December 27, 2007.
Pearl Restaurant and Champagne Lounge caters to a new breed of guest and is the perfect complement to the casual, yet trendy, atmosphere provided out-doors at Nikki Beach during the daytime.
From celebrities
corporate titans, the guest list is full of people waiting to gather around the striking shell-shaped champagne bar in order to sample the various chilled champagnes and accompanying caviar hors d’oeuvres and strawberries. The drink of choice at Pearl is champagne and the range stretches from a flute of the house brand to a magnum of Cristal. The predominate color of the location is pearl white and is highlighted by the tall white fur-lined curtains that adorn the unique walls. What makes the experience sublime is the bathing amber glow that is created through a combination of lighting and the inherently luminescent orange fur walls. Whether they are sitting on the seashell-shaped chairs sur-rounding the champagne bar or at a private table, the amber radiance makes everyone look and feel marvelous.
Everything at Pearl is designer, including the staff uniforms. Lubna Zawawi was contracted to create the inimitable look for the staff. The uniforms borrow from many styles and global regions, including the Middle East, India, Paris, and London.
Pearl is a sensational place to relax and to be seen at and has quickly become the hippest place in South Beach.
Visitors and residents ,including celebrities from all walks of life, have become regular patrons because Pearl provides a level of sophistication that is unmatched.
